Yunxi (Claudia) Liu

Rotation Student

Yunxi grew up in Chongqing, China, and graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with B.S. in Biochemistry + Gender and Women’s Studies, as well as a certificate in Japanese Professional Communications. She was involved in microbiome related research in undergraduate and investigated shifting relationships between the gut microbiome and hibernating animals in the context of nitrogen  recycling across seasons. Presently, she is a first year student in the Graduate program in Chemical Biology at Harvard. Her research interests lie between immunology and microbiology, particularly hormone signaling in disease settings.  She loves cooking (probably too much) and every now and then will shop at 3-4 different grocery stores just to hunt for the spices and ingredients for a new recipe.
